286 Controlled opposition: since 1910

This blog: http://tiny.cc/cjrzxw or  tiny.cc/cjrzxw

When you want to rule (the world), it is important to have a strategy of how to deal with your opponents.
You can 'neutralise' them by imprisonment or even by killing them.
This takes a lot of energy, as it will generate aversion and more resistance.

It is much more efficient to controle your opponents by controling their 'view on the world'.
But, in order to be credible, you have to pose as one of them.
This means that you will have to put up with a lot of real criticism on yourself.
(Yourself = the 1 % ,as we call them now. The Power Elite, as I like to say. The PTB, the Powers That Be)
But criticism is no problem, as after a time, it becomes a mantra, and nobody really listens anymore.
The interesting thing is that you can eliminate from the news a lot of information that is new and damaging.  And you can controle the frequency of the messages.

I would like to coin this phrase: "Frequency is the message".

I believe in the concept of evolution, and I think that it was always dangerous for people to analyse the world and tell the truth as they saw it.
You will live much longer and have much more offspring if you concentrate on finding out what the Leader thinks, and what the Majority thinks.
To think for yourself will cost you your head, in many societies.
I think we are genetically programmed to sense what is the 'winning opinion', and then quickly adopt is as our own.
One of the ways to find out the 'winning opinion' is frequency.  We tend to believe an opinion that we hear more often than others.
Frequency is convincing, not truth. That is what I believe.

This opens  enormous possibilities for Manipulation:
Now you can controle the masses, just by repeating the propaganda-lies much more often than the truth.
You don't have to put people in jail, you don't have to kill them.  Just repeat your own message 10 times, and let the truth be published only once.

Amongst themselves the Media work in exactly the same way: smaller Media will copy the larger Media, and will not think for themselves.

So when JP Morgan , who had lent incredible amoiunts of money to France and England to fight WW1, was afraid that these vountries would lose the war,  Morgan decided to get America into WW1.
How?
In America the people were more positive about Germany than about England and France.
The answer:
By buying the 'policy' of 25 of the largest papers in the country.  They put their own man in each paper. He had to 'steer'  the information a bit.
Fake messages of Germans who cut off breasts of Belgian women appeared.
The Lusitania was filled with passengers ànd weapons, hoping that Germany would indeed sink this boat, as Germany had promised.
After 1 year Americans were furious towards Germany.
That is how propaganda began to be used to manipulate the will of the people, so that the Power Elite can do exactly what is good for them, and still be 'Democratic'.
(In the Library of Congress the JP Morgan trick is documentend, in 1915.)

But there are more ways to controle your opponents.

I could compare it to a 'pre-emptive strike'.
You can start a paper or an organisation that fights agains you  !
In this way you have controle from the beginning.
It will attract all your future opponents, which is interesting and usefull.

Here ( paragraph 2.3.5) is how Carroll Quigley wrote about this:

( Carroll Quigley, Tragedy and Hope: A History of the World in our Time, Macmillan New York 1966: )

{page 938 of the book}
More than fifty years ago the Morgan firm decided to infiltrate the Left-wing political movements in the United States. This was relatively easy to do, since these groups were starved for funds and eager for a voice to reach the people. Wall Street supplied both. The purpose was not to destroy, dominate, or take over but was really threefold:
(1) to keep informed about the thinking of Left-wing or liberal groups;
(2) to provide them with a mouthpiece so that they could "blow off steam," and (3) to have a final veto on their publicity and possibly on their actions, if they ever went "radical."

There was nothing really new about this decision, since other financiers had talked about it and even attempted it earlier. What made it decisively important this time was the combination of its adoption by the dominant Wall Street financier, at a time when tax policy was driving all financiers to seek tax-exempt refuges for their fortunes, and at a time when the ultimate in Left-wing radicalism was about to appear under the banner of the Third International.

The best example of this alliance of Wall Street and Left-wing publication was The New Republic, a magazine founded by Willard Straight, using Payne Whitney money, in 1914.  Straight ... became a Morgan partner ...  He married Dorothy Payne Whitney ...  the sister and co-heiress of Oliver
{p. 939} Payne, of the Standard Oil "trust." ...
The New Republic was founded by Willard and Dorothy Straight, using her money, in 1914, and continued to be supported by her financial contributions until March 23, 1953. The original purpose for establishing the paper was to provide an outlet for the progressive Left and to guide it quietly in an Anglophile direction. This latter task was entrusted to a young man, only four years out of Harvard, but already a member of the mysterious Round Table group, which has played a major role in directing England's foreign policy since its formal establishment in 1909. This new recruit, Walter Lippmann, has been, from 1914 to the present, the authentic spokesman in American journalism for the Establishments on both sides of the Atlantic in international affairs. His biweekly columns, which appear in hundreds of American papers, are copyrighted by the New York Herald Tribune which is now owned by J. H. Whitney. It was these connections, as a link between Wall Street and the Round Table Group, which gave Lippmann the opportunity in 1918, while still in his twenties, to be the official interpreter of the meaning of Woodrow Wilson's Fourteen Points to the British government.
